How to download a CS2 demo and find its share link

CS2 keeps your recent matches in its match list, and each one can be downloaded as a demo file or copied as a share link. Either one opens here as a 3D replay.

Get the demo

1. Open CS2 and go to your match list.
2. Pick a match and download it. The file is a .dem, saved in the game\csgo\replays folder of your CS2 install.
3. Drop that file on the home page, or press Upload a demo.

Or copy the share link

1. In the same match list, use Copy share link on the match.
2. Paste it into the box on the home page and press Watch replay. The site fetches the demo from Valve, so you do not need the file at all.

Why a match can be missing

Valve deletes replays after 30 days, so an older match can no longer be downloaded or fetched. To stop that happening, have your matches tracked and each one is kept with its replay on your profile.
